To create a cross-generational festival in a safe and community-promoting environment.
That we would be in Falköpings Folkets Park was a given from the start, as we in the band and team have had so many unforgettable concert experiences and party nights there that in many ways shaped us into the people we are today.
The fact that Folkets Park also evokes a nostalgic feeling resonates well with the festival's ambition to engage bands and artists that have a nostalgic anchoring to some extent. Part of the same ambition is to engage and promote bands and artists that, in our opinion, deserve a larger audience or "up and coming" bands that lack a stage to appear on.
NestorFest has never had any ambition to be a pure hard rock festival, the fact that most of the bands in the line up 2024 was hard rock based bands was a bit of a coincidence. If you are a hard rocker by heart you are more than welcome to NestorFest, but if you are looking for a pure hard rock festival, we can recommend Sweden Rock Festival, Skogsröjet or Time to rock, which are all great festivals when it comes to that genre.
That said, it feels fantastic to welcome bands like Atomic Swing, Popsicle, Ludwig Hart, Melody Club, Huggorm, Vildsvin (and more to come) to NestorFest 2026. The fact that we (Nestor) supported Atomic Swing in Ljusdals Folkpark in 1991 makes the nostalgia coefficient very present ;)
The goal as well as the ambition is to improve the experience every year through good music, high quality service, food and facilities while creating a "family friendly” atmosphere for our participants.
Welcome to NestorFest 2026
